Sticky things that can be used to hang it are not suitable. I had to use nails. The rope wasn't strong either, but I had twine so I used that. Make sure you have other hanging options besides the one provided. Also, they are very useful for my bathroom and office and I love them very much. They can hold a lot of things and are generally very comfortable.
