Review on ๐Ÿƒ Running Buddy - Buddy Pouch Mini Plus+: The Ultimate Belt-Free Magnetic Storage Companion for Running, Fitness, and Travel by Michael Clarke

Are you ready to throw away your running belt? We may have a winner for off-phone use

Topline: A compact yet surprisingly roomy case that stays 'locked in' when running no matter the pace. long training runs/races. Think GU, salt tablets, lip balm, cash, ID, car keys (not the jailer's keyring, just one). I'm tired of using a belt that rubs 26 miles of waste for just a few small but essential race items. Sizing is near perfect (see image full unfolded size for $1; profile cut in half when worn). Anything that fits in the palm of your hand or less fits in here. Slightly stretchy and very pliable, the fabric will stretch slightly to accommodate a handful of small items when you need to darn it. Dry-fitting materials, dry quickly and won't smell bad with repeated use (hand wash once a week to ensure a long and happy life). How do the magnets hold? Like the Incredible Hulk. This suction cup won't move once you lock it in place unless what you've attached it to isn't moving. Slips easily over the waistband and the back is fairly smooth and skin-friendly. I prefer to wear a pair of compression shorts between my skin and Buddy, but they seem comfortable enough to wear "commandos". Cons: The downside to strong magnets is that the magnets are REALLY STRONG! Adjusting on the fly can be difficult without stopping or at least slowing down (not ideal while racing). Luckily, it stays where you put it, so adjustments are usually needed. Minor: Items bounce a little if the bag isn't full. So if you're carrying around a small key ring or a box of TicTacs, expect to be a little distracted while running. Also if you carry a lot of weight in it and the shorts/pants you attached it to are loose, expect a lot of impact. Other: Don't buy this to take your phone with you. I repeat, NOT FOR PHONES. It fits into a semi-compact MP3 player, but no modern smartphone finds a place here (picture attached iPhone 7, still about 30% protruding). Upgrade to the XL phone model.
