While no lock is 100% burglarproof and nothing can withstand a portable grinder, this lock is strong enough to slow a would-be thief - hopefully get him to move to choose another bike instead of stealing it from you. I bought a "double pack" (2 locks using the same key) because I can use them end to end to increase the "reach" so I can get through my e-bike's frame, the rear wheel (where the engine is located) and the luggage racks, and then attach it to a fixed object (tree, lantern, etc.), even if it is not in close proximity to the bike. The attachment system holds the lock securely to the bike and keeps them silent while riding. Much nicer than a heavy U-lock, rattling while driving or a slack cable that can be severed in less than 5 seconds anyway. Highly recommended!
