My mother-in-law is 66 years old and she recently had holes in her earrings after wearing them heavily for years. There wasn't enough skin to sew it back on, so the doctor recommended only ear clips. She is quite a vain woman and wanted to keep all the earrings she has now and not just buy new clip earrings. So I went through the agonizing process of converting hundreds of earrings into one clip. These converters have a few disadvantages, but I'll start with the advantages: 1. They are easy to open2. When worn, they look like earrings. It really is all they have. Now for the cons: 1. The fastening loop is on the front of the earring, not the bottom, so 99% of the earrings are held on the side. If it makes sense? If they made a loop at the bottom to fasten the earring, it would help the earring fall naturally instead of holding it to the side. Out of the HUNDREDS of earrings I've had to retrofit I still haven't found a set that this will work for. But I'm sure they're there, never say never.2. I broke more than I would have liked trying to attach the earring to the converter. The loop for attaching the earring is very thin and fragile. I broke my... A LOT OF. and had to fix them because I refused to buy more. Even when my MIL clipped them to her ear, some broke.3. The hole to attach the earring is very small. It's like trying to thread a needle. I'm 32 years old, I have perfect eyesight and it annoyed me. I have to say that after buying so many I found a way to make them usable. If you use the rest, which goes in your ear like a "wire" like a cap, I've found that it works. Then I just bend the wire around the earring with pliers and BAM! The little hole still breaks, but I just pinch it back. I wouldn't recommend them, there has to be a better way to convert the earrings. But I bought so many and my MIL was happy to get the earrings back that we just went with them. I will definitely not buy again.
