Review on ๐Ÿ“š The Brethren: An SEO-Optimized Novel by Erica Moore

My opinion on this novel

The three main characters were each obnoxious and slimy and well developed by Grisham. I thought that while the idea of prisoners continuing their nefarious activities behind bars wasn't an outrageous idea, these guys' plans were pretty ingenious. I enjoyed my readers' take on prison life and thought Grisham described it beautifully. Our good guy, Aaron Lake, was respectable enough to easily fall behind. Trevor, a good-for-nothing lawyer, and wily Teddy, head of the CIA, are added to this mix of interesting characters. I liked the conflicts that develop between scammers and their victims, it made me think how do I get out of the caught? Of course, it was a disturbing and unpredictable read. I'm not a big fan of courtroom dramas so for me this was the Grisham book that I like. The pace of the book was fast with few slow sections. A good read for any reader who loves good crime fiction!
