They are great in a pinch and very easy to carry. They fit easily in any pocket. The magnification (x1) is perfect. When I first got them they "felt" that they could break easily so I handled them very carefully and kept dropping and catching them, but they seem quite strong, just very lightly. When you try it on for the first time, you need to find the best spot on your nose to keep it in place. I've found that on the bridge of my nose where regular glasses are, they don't fit. The two pieces of metal that apply pressure to keep them in place are covered in "sandpaper" so they need something to grab, like the softer area closer to the tip of the nose. The bridge of the nose didn't work because it was too tight. I also recommend that whenever you place it however you like, smile and see if it falls or stays. Then you have found the perfect accommodation. I also don't recommend wearing them for long periods of time as they leave a dimple on the bridge of your nose like regular glasses do, but since they actually pinch your skin to stay in place, the dimples will be a little deeper. But as said, in a pinch (no pun intended) they're great for reading menus or labels, but not newspapers or books.
