Review on πŸ“· Intova Waterproof Sports Utility Camera with Flash - Dive up to 100 Feet by Michael Altayeb

Do not buy! Outdated Movie!

I have used Fuji waterproof disposables in the past and was not happy with the results. The footprints were all green. The miracle of Photoshop found images in blur, so everything is fine. . .not that bad. I bought this reusable Intova because it is reusable. I've thought about getting a waterproof digital camera, but it's expensive; probably the best deal is a waterproof Kodak camcorder (starting at $100), but I don't know if it can be used for photos. I also bought a waterproof camera case to use with my Panasonic camcorder, a bit cheaper but didn't have time to try it. Just received prints from Intova: 21 shots per roll with 27 exposures. Almost all are blurred green. I didn't read the packaging UNTIL the picture came back: the camera that comes with 35mm roll film has a DEVELOPMENT DATE of JUNE 2009! That, my friends, is three years ago. The seller should not sell, or at least say so, a camera with expired film. After all, it's not hard to get a new movie and load the damn thing. However, I did NOT get any pictures from my underwater vacation. The camera itself seems terribly simple: fixed focus, flash lever, rotary wheel, scope eyepiece. Nothing fantastic. Sophistication not expected. One downside that I didn't anticipate was that the camera is larger than Fuji's disposable underwater camera. This makes it unwieldy when you're swimming while holding your camera. (Also: The adjustable wrist strap helps with carrying.) What did I expect from such a low price? I wasn't expecting a movie three years after it hit theaters.
