Same problem as another reviewer
You seem to be having the same sizing problem as the other reviewer. The male end should be tapered at the inside diameter. Only fits about half of the 5.5 x 2.1mm sockets I have. Not worth sending back so I just cut off the pin ends and solder on new ones that go with everything. I can confirm the 22 AWG stranded wires inside and they appear to be solid copper rather than copper clad aluminum.
