Review on Flowmaster 71419 FlowFX Muffler Stainless by Matt Wigfall
Great value at $49 for a powerful, raspy sound but DRONES on the freeway.
I like the powerful, harsh sound of this "muffler" but it hums a bit on my 2002 Silverado 4.8L V8. Mind you, it's nowhere near as bad as my old Flowmaster Super10, but you can hear it every time you step on the gas pedal. Overall, though, it has a really nice roar and rumble at launch. At full throttle from zero to sixty, it sounds very cool. More of a sports car than a truck. Another bad thing is the welds, which rusted after just a few weeks. Doesn't the Flowmaster use stainless welding wire for the stainless steel exhaust? WTF?
