I bought this product to replace a broken normal cable for a portable speaker. The reason for the 2 stars is that the product only half works. This item charges my speaker well but as previous complaints have pointed out very little volume comes through the aux jack portion when connected to our phones. Since it was relatively cheap and therefore not worth the hassle of returning it, I just bought a separate inexpensive 3.5mm aux cable that works great and taped it to this cable. So I only use this cable for charging and connect an extra cable for sound. Not exactly optimal, but it works, and it's mostly for kids and outdoors, so it's fine.
