Disappointing from start to finish

I originally ordered hard with expedited shipping to get it by Wednesday weekend. The PC was not shipped until the following Monday, which was a public holiday. Today's instant order gets you free within days which is slow but worse when you pay a premium and it doesn't ship, not to mention the 3 day delivery you paid for. The PC arrived a week later when all was said and done. This is very slow for an item that claims to be in stock and ready to ship, which was not the case. The PC arrived in a shipping box. No additional boxing or protection around it. Inside it is packed in foam, there is also foam inside the case. There is a plastic bag and a thin canvas bag around it. Most of them are meant to be portable, but I was expecting a little more impact protection beyond my own carrying case. The PC itself came with a PNY RTX 3080 XLR8 gaming card (judging by the fact that most pre-built PC systems come with the cards they have). if you don't want to pay a premium and want to wait longer for a specific card) Asus Steel Legend MOBO, Everything else is exactly as described. Comes with a cheap keyboard and mouse that you can leave until you get a better keyboard and mouse. But I'm sure most people already have a great keyboard and mouse handy. The case is more of a small tower than a full ATX with a glass panel that lets you see all the pretty lights and the inside of the PC. Looks good, but I feel like this is where my issues with this system originated. main problems. The tower is small and doesn't let much air through. Behind a fan and all. There are water-cooled GPU fans on the front. There is no other airflow on a graphics card that is extremely power hungry and heats up with the processor. During normal idle I felt a slight thermal radiation, but as soon as you ran the game at full load (War Thunder maxed out) the thermal radiation was extremely noticeable and felt very hot. The computer wouldn't turn off for a long time. Remember, he's already done this with a simple workload like browsing the web and even installing Windows 10. I know people are desperate for a 3080, even if it's just biting a bullet and getting a system ready like me. I would not recommend this system with its cooling issues. Picked up and sent back within a day. There was no need to contact tech support as it was easy to fix. Support was ok, nothing special, but when you're on the east coast and need to go to the west coast for help, I find it inconvenient. If the cooling issues are fixed I think it's not a bad system, but then again if it can't stay on for long periods of gaming, which is its main purpose, it's not worth it.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Useless features
