The quality MAY depend on the delivered device?

I used to be a big fan of original manufacturer cartridges because I had a bad experience with generics a few years ago and reviews of generics always seem so mixed. I figured the savings from using about five generic cartridges would be equivalent to buying a new printer, so I gave generics a try again. Since we have other printers, it was not critical for us if the printer cartridge was empty or not working properly. I used Supplies_Outlet - for no real good reason other than that they were the main supplier that day, but now I always buy from the same company and the toner seems to be the same every time. Anyway the cartridge arrived and was well packaged - it had a sticker saying Brother TN45O for what it's worth. It worked great on the Brother MFC 7860, producing streak-free copies with no problems. I have now used four from the same vendor with no problems. We don't keep page counts, but they seem to last almost as long as a real brother. From now on, I'll better keep track of the page count for this printer. I was just guessing, but I'm wondering if the reason why there are so many conflicting opinions about the quality of cartridges doesn't depend on what comes from a particular seller? The supplier seems to change every day and for any general list of cartridges, so there seems to be a wide range of remanufactured cartridges. I think some of them are really bad and some of them are good, but reviewers don't usually mention who the toner is from or any markings on the cartridge - unless it's an original remanufactured cartridge with a company label. I think that's why some people say the toner is great and others say it sucks. I don't know how many factories remanufacture cartridges but if there are many I would say quality control varies widely. If you had a bad experience with one provider, could you switch to another? Sorry for the long review which is not actually a review.
