Review on Canon EF M Macro Japan Warranty by Darius Permada Buana ᠌

A high-quality product, the price corresponds to the quality.

A very unusual lens. Yes, it is all plastic, except for the lenses. But it's not a toy. Sharpness for the money it costs is quite decent. XA is only on a fully open aperture, when the aperture is closed by one or two steps, they disappear. The backlight shines well, but it is made in such a way as to get a frame with acceptable shutter speeds and ISO at the maximum aperture. Clamping the aperture at least a step negates the entire backlight effect. In such cases, the stabilizer helps, shutter speeds up to 1/15 are quite possible to do "by hand". It is somewhat annoying that the lens must be "turned on" and "off" with a lever on the lens itself. It's not particularly convenient, but it's a feature of the entire EF-M line, and done for the sake of compactness, so there's nothing to be done about it. The optics pattern is without frills, but very pleasant for such a crumb. Suitable not only for macro. Portraits and landscapes are great too. If we do not talk about the technical side of the issue, then this is a lens for a walk, when you don’t want to drag a heavy mirror carcass with you, and no less heavy glass for it. A camera with this lens fits in a jacket pocket. And you don’t have to climb into your backpack / bag every time, and he doesn’t pull his hand away, and he doesn’t press his neck with a belt. At the same time, you can take pictures of everything around, and not just flowers / insects. It is quite natural that the output picture will be slightly different than that of a full-frame DSLR with an L-lens, but here you have to choose for yourself what is more important.
