Attention buyers: NVME works in High Sierra but has many issues

LATEST UPDATE: I'm changing my rating to two stars and here's why. I've been using this adapter for a few days and am having issues with battery life, heat, sleep and booting on my Mac. I'll start with the biggest problem which is getting my MacBook to sleep. Mode. Leaving it asleep for a long time will cause a strange issue where your Mac will automatically restart when you open the laptop to use it. Worse, it doesn't even boot properly after that random reboot. It will go to a folder with a blinking question mark icon in the middle of the screen. I have to hold down the select key while turning on the laptop to get to the boot menu and then boot properly into macOS. This startup problem persists even if I don't go to sleep. If I just turn on my Mac after shutting it down, half the time it won't boot into macOS by itself. Even when it does, it gets stuck halfway to the loading screen and then randomly restarts. This is a major inconvenience and a deal breaker for me, especially since I leave my laptop on sleep mode overnight until the next day. Second, I've noticed that my laptop's battery life has decreased. It doesn't drain so quickly that I have to charge it up in the middle of the workday, but it definitely shows. Now at the end of the day with my type of workload I have around 20% battery instead of around 50% as before when using this adapter with my 960 Evo. I have found that my laptop gets much hotter going from the bottom to the back where the hinge is. This may be due to my 960 Evo using more power, or simply heat coming from the 960 Evo itself. I'm much more uncomfortable using my MacBook on my lap. Finally, I feel compelled to return the adapter. While I liked the idea of using this adapter as a cheaper way to upgrade storage, it just doesn't work the way a standard Apple SSD does with all those basic issues. If you are a person who does not mind heat and sleep problems, you can definitely try this method. Nonetheless, you still have to try to get your Mac to boot properly. I hope my review was helpful and you can check out my old update and review below. Old update: I bought a second adapter in case the one I received had a manufacturing defect and I was right. The new adapter I received fits and works perfectly. I will update if I see more issues. I have a 500GB 960 Evo that I have used this with and it has been flawless. Ignore the seller's statement about the lack of NVME; It works as long as you have the High Sierra update as it re-enables NVME support. Just make sure that you have a macOS recovery USB drive. Old Review: I bought this with high hopes to use my M2 SSD with my mid 2014 Macbook Pro. However, the adapter does not fit all the way in, so the screw that secures the SSD cannot be replaced. On closer inspection, the notch between the two data "heads" is too narrow compared to the original Apple SSD.
