It works on a 2013 and 2015 MacBook Air

I have 2 MacBook Airs - 2013 and 2015. The one you see is in my 2015. It works great in BOTH. I paired my Macs with Toshiba NVME because after a lot of research Toshiba NVME turned out to work best with the MacBook Air range. So far my research has been confirmed. Please don't ask me about Samsung or other brands or speeds. I can't answer that because I haven't tried any other brands and I don't really care about speed - not in a MacBook Air. RELIABILITY and battery life are my biggest…

Perfect! Allows NVME drives to be used

I used this to install an NVME drive in my 2014 MacBook Pro. The performance is excellent! If you are looking for a good hard drive replacement solution for your MacBook, this is it! You'll also need to purchase an NVME M.2 drive (note only one notch on the connector, not two). I used a Samsung 970 NVME 500GB drive. Now that the disc prices have come down I can upgrade them. (Please note that you must upgrade your Mac to High Sierra before you can use this adapter. If you haven't already, you…

Works great in 2013 Macbook Air with nvme SSD

I installed this on a 2013 11" MacBook Air from https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076ZWSW7X but wasn't sure if it will work.work because the adapter is not supposed to work with nvme SSD.To my surprise it worked immediately and perfectly. After backing up the original SSD,I swapped Adata with the adapter and booted from the backup. He saw the new SSD,let they format me and restore the backup in about 45 minutes it was fine just make sure you are running macOS 10.13.4 with the latest updates.

Pros
  • Memory card accessory
Cons
  • Very expensive

Attention buyers: NVME works in High Sierra but has many issues

LATEST UPDATE: I'm changing my rating to two stars and here's why. I've been using this adapter for a few days and am having issues with battery life, heat, sleep and booting on my Mac. I'll start with the biggest problem which is getting my MacBook to sleep. Mode. Leaving it asleep for a long time will cause a strange issue where your Mac will automatically restart when you open the laptop to use it. Worse, it doesn't even boot properly after that random reboot. It will go to a folder with a…
