I have bought two of these jackets and whilst I am pleased with their quality and design I find the velcro belts used are MUCH TOO SHORT. To explain: After using it in the last week, it has been shown that these Velcro fasteners quickly make less contact on such short straps. Not only are the straps too short, the quality of the Velcro used isn't very good either. With these jackets I can already see a deterioration in the grip between both sides of the velcro. My suggestions: 1. Make both sets of these straps longer for better overlap (at least 4 inches each). 2. Use a better extreme grip velcro and increase the length of the velcro (at least 3 inches for longer straps). Both the top and bottom have more length for longer velcro. More grip space/length tends to result in a stronger grip than the tiny amounts currently used on these jackets. So instead of these straps being about 1 inch long, make them at least 4 inches long with more velcro length. One inch straps are practically useless to dogs, they will always rub against something loosening those straps, which come loose easily because the straps aren't long enough. I was spending more time walking and stopped to put these tongues back on my dogs because these straps and velcro are not enough.
