This sealed 2 cup guac saver works exactly as stated in the product description. This is perfect for a batch of 3 avocados. The keys to success are: 1) the guac has no air pockets, 2) the top of the guac is slightly domed (hill-like) in the center, and 3) the lid is pressed firmly against the top of the guac. Doing this will keep your guac tasting fresh and looking light green for a few days. I noticed a very thin (1-2mm) ring around the rim where the guac was a little darker green, but it still tasted great. This ultra-thin ring isn't a big deal and you probably won't even notice it unless you're specifically looking for it. After daily visual checks and tastings of our Guac Saver, I kind of forgot about it for a few days. . When I found a 1/4 full guac saver a week later, the guac inside was STILL GREEN! I'm not joking. It even tasted good. It should be noted that there are no tomatoes in my recipe. Do yourself (or someone you love) a huge favor and buy a 2-cup Guac Saver. You save money, time and enjoy green guac for days. Also the 2 cup version (vs 4 cup) is the way to go. I originally bought the 4 cup version but the diameter was much larger than I expected. The 2-cup version is ideal for 1-2 people, while the small diameter ensures less guac and preserves freshness.
