So I have a hard time as I really like the chair and the ottoman also looked very nice. The chair matches my mid-century decor perfectly and is very comfortable with lots of nice adjustable features. However, within a few weeks of owning the ottoman, it broke away from the base. The ottoman has been used very little, maybe only 3-4 times in a couple of weeks. I sat on it to tie my shoelaces and it detached from the base. I'm not a very tall man only about 170 pounds so that was pretty ridiculous for the cost of the furniture. Looking at the kink, it looks like the base and leg are just glued together, despite the illusion of screws going through the bottom. .I was lucky that this happened in the 30th main window so I could easily get a replacement but now I'm very concerned that the same thing will happen to the chair at some point. The product seems very durable, but this incident worries me. Let's see if the replacement stool lasts longer :/
