Whistling Wonder

I am an avid outdoor and travel enthusiast and amateur landscape photographer who has been using Giotto's carbon fiber travel tripod for about 2 years now. Good tripod but I wanted something stronger, more durable but still acceptable for hiking. Also something that would look a little more "professional". One issue I had with the Giottos was the center speaker and the ability to go extremely low in volume when needed, so that was a consideration as well. However, any "professional" carbon fiber tripods from PMG, RRS, Robus, Feisol or Leofoto are ridiculously expensive and a bit heavy to carry for miles on hikes. I decided to try since the weight was good, The short center handle was comfortable and had multiple 5-star reviews. The price was right too. Arrived quickly and well packaged. There was a sense of quality. Yes, this is a Chinese product, but American ones are five times more expensive. I've been using it for about a month and have never had any functionality issues. Durable and light enough for hiking. I currently use Canon EOS R with 15-35 and 24-105. My biggest problem with a tripod is that there is a whistling noise at the top of the legs when the legs are folded down. Very annoying. I'm posting a video of the sound of a whistle. Does it offset cost savings over competitors? nope I'd rather spend $200-$700 more than every day. The center column alignment feature is nice, but I don't use it that often, although it is easier to align for panoramas. Overall, I'm happy with the price and features of the product. I would definitely buy this again. Time will tell if it holds up, but so far so good. Yes, this is a Chinese product, but American ones are five times more expensive.
