Super easy to use and attach to your SUV

We have a Chevy Trax, which is an SUV, and we go to different places on two kayaks. We embarked on our longest journey yet, five hours one way, of which at least three hours were on 70-mile roads. I don't normally use the stern and bow straps as we often go to places and don't need them, but they are wobbly and I didn't want to risk not having them when driving at these speeds. We found them on the internet and now we will use them every time we download them. They did a great job throughout the trip and really improved the stability of our kayaks on the vehicle. We rode at 70mph for a total of over 5 hours and didn't notice any issues at all. What I like the most is the ease of use. With these, you simply hook both ends and pull it through the pulley and it will automatically lock the rope for you. I prefer these clamping systems over ratchet systems because with kayaks you can easily bend and dent the kayak. We also use a similar tensioning system to attach the kayak to our cradle so these are great additions. an extra rope that we took with us on our kayak trip and it was really nice to have for different campsites.

Pros
  • FOR ALL YOUR LOCKING NEEDS: The unique, compact and versatile ratchet system helps you tie a variety of loads quickly and easily. No matter what type of job, work or play, home, office, garage, yard, ranch, farm, car, truck, boat, plane, whether it needs to be tied or lifted, we make it easy and safe.
