The concept of this game is a great idea - the rules are really stupid. I bought this for my 9 year old with dyslexia and learning disabilities and also for my gifted/advanced 5 year old. The game has several orange cards, each with a consonant, and several purple cards with word endings like "-at", "-it", "ain" and "-ail". It's a speed game (NOT a good idea for kids learning to read or kids who need extra time to process information) and the rules tell you to yell "click" or "that" or "up" after you say each word. what my children don't want and can't remember. We decided to play a game by giving each of us about 7 orange cards (consonants) and a purple deck (word endings) as a deck. On your turn, you turn over a purple card and see if you can form a word. If you can form a word, you discard the orange consonants used; if you cannot create a word with the purple card drawn, it is the next person's turn. If you have no more orange cards in your hand, you win! These rules that we came up with worked a lot better for us and saved us from all the tears and frustration that a quick game could have caused.
