Do not wear a Vo7 bandage. Instead, buy a protective bandage for the Hyperwool coat, also at the pharmacy.
Sorry chemist. I love your products but I have to say this product is rubbish. The shine is not permanent and the application is almost never even. I have a lot of experience in car detailing and cannot recommend this product. On the other hand, I highly recommend G6 Hypercoat Protective Dressing Chemicals. This product holds and also maintains that shine without fading. Use a microfiber applicator to spray product on and rub into rubber or plastic you are restoring. I can also add that this product, the G6, also outperforms VRP.
