First of all I don't like that it's a bit expensive and when I need it; I need to add an outlet on the wall because it's wired. Plus it works amazing! My dog has trouble urinating and likes to do it on the rug that only I have upstairs and on the stairs themselves. Tried to put a baby gate on the bottom of the stairs and he jumped over it. He built a custom 5 foot high gate and he jumped over it anyway. We will get a new carpet next week because it destroyed it, I panicked and after a sleepless night I found this one. Quickly collected, connected the power supply via an extension cord to check. It only took him one swipe to find out. Set the strength on his collar to 3. He hears a beep and quickly backs away. My dog runs too, so if the kids accidentally leave the door open, he'll run away. Not now! The transmitter sits under my first bottom step and, thanks to user settings, blocks the stairs and front door, leaving the hallway clear for it. So double bonus for me. I can't say anything about durability since it's only been two days, but 9 volt batteries last a long time and by the time my dog reaches its limits, the transmitter will probably fail before the battery. Overall a great product. I might get another one for my trash can as my dog is also a trash fanatic.
