I remember reading reviews about purple stains from pots and pans. Weird since I've sent mine through hell and back since I bought them five months ago and they've held up well. This is my first "adult" crockery set. I used to have a cheap ceramic set that cost about the same as a mall manicure and lasted about the same time. This Paula Dean set is a bee's knee, which surprised me, probably because of my prejudice towards her. I hardly ever have to lather them, the non-stick coating works wonders and a crunchy squirt of ice cream slides off instantly. (Disgusting, I know) They're really pretty, and some of the easiest-to-wash items are dishwasher safe. So happy with this purchase.
