First the pros, then the warning. I love the car; Although I used it for the first time today. It's not super loud like a Nutri Bullet, but it's not super quiet either. Everything comes together well and it did a great job of crushing my Oreos and blending in the soft cream cheese for my truffles. I can't yet talk about how it happens with cutting vegetables and the like. I have very slick old countertops in my kitchen and rubber feet keep them in place. It didn't go through the counter even though I didn't hold it. It's very heavy and feels sturdy. I hope time shows. I love that the lidding foil can be removed for cleaning as previous Cuisinart models had issues with food getting under the foil and then staying there and becoming uncomfortable. The book also states that the parts, with the exception of the motor housing, are of course dishwasher safe; but then he warns that very hot water in the dishwasher can damage the parts over time, so I plan on hand washing. Assembly was fairly easy but I would read the instructions to make sure you lock and load everything, especially if this is your first food processor. A word of caution: although the machine was very well packaged and only came in a Cuisinart box rather than a brown cardboard box, the top wasn't even sealed over the label you peel off to open. Mine wouldn't open and everything was in the box but I saw it opened for someone. It's better to ask for a package that doesn't show what's in the box. BUT my big caveat is that when I opened the box it looked like the blades were in little disposable plastic lids when in fact they were plastic trays. When I went to get the blades out I figured I would grab the plastic that covered the entire blade, cut my finger badly and had to have stitches. This can only be my fault and no one else could have seen what I thought they saw but please be very careful as the blades are not fully protected in the packaging. After all, the slices come in plastic bags, but if you handle them the wrong way, they're sure to cut you. Also, storage for blades and discs isn't included, so you'll need to buy some sort of storage for them. I give this product 5 stars despite some problems because I believe that you can get through the unboxing without cutting and getting a box of blades, it seems like it is very convenient to use.
