I needed to replace the original key fob on my 2007 Toyota Camry. The case cracked right where the metal key shank was molded into the key fob case. This keychain case worked great! I took my time cutting the transponder chip out of my old key fob case and inserting it into the slot in the new case. I then moved the remote electronics into the new case, but that was the easiest part. After assembling the case I took it to my local Ace Hardware and they cut/copied the key shank key from my old broken case for less than $5. everything worked great! My Camry started right away. Remember that this is only the case if the remote control electronics or transponder chip are not included. If you want this to work with the ignition you will need to cut the transponder chip out of the old key fob housing and also move the remote electronics into the new housing. Obviously this is not an OEM key case. There is no Toyota logo on the back. The color of the red trunk button was a different shade from the original. It's a little lighter in color. I tried replacing the buttons from the original case as they felt a little better, but I couldn't get them to fit the new case. This is a great suggestion for a spare key if you still have the key. Transponder chip from an old key fob. You don't have to pay ridiculous prices ($50+) to have someone program a new key for your car when you can put the chip in this new package. I would definitely recommend this replacement key fob shell if your old key is broken and you are looking for a replacement and don't want to pay the high price of a full remote replacement plus the cost of key programming. It's not an OEM case and the buttons feel *a bit* cheap, but hey, for $6 (including Prime 2 Day Free Shipping) you can't go wrong at this price point!
