When you open the package it smells rancid.

I buy frozen chicken necks for my cats from a local butcher. I've been told they can help fight tartar. I bought this product because fresh/raw food makes a big mess when I feed it to my cats. However, 2 of my 3 cats (they all LOVE raw) wouldn't touch them - I guess because they smell like rancid butter. I don't know where they're from or if they're really lazy, but I won't be buying them again.
