Pretty good for a big cat if you don't need a top door.

I have an 11 lb cat, very long, not fat, just tall. This carrier is the perfect size for him. I bought a cheap MidWest Bolster pet bed that was 24"L x 18"W x 11.2" and it fits well and he seems comfortable in it. One day he peed in the carrier and the pet bed sucked all the urine up and it was very easy to clean after just FYI anyways seemed very comfortable to wear and even went to sleep there a couple of times after taking 3 trips with it (after washing the bed) so it should be there reviewers have complained about the build quality or lightness of the plastic of this particular size compared to the larger ones, but I think it's well made (and have used other holders of the same size which I felt I had to keep from below, because they looked so fragile) If it was a bit heavier it would be impossible to carry more than a few steps (in the case of weaker individuals) It has both lid and bolt and I'm guessing he has both. Many top door carriers only have clips otherwise the top door is where the handle is and I have found that many reviews of these other carriers mention that the bottom has fallen off or the door has opened causing the Handle became unusable while the animal was in the street!). So I prefer my cat carrier without a top door. I've found that I have little to no problem carrying my cat (I just opened the door and put my cat down quickly and even if she protests, she doesn't have time to refuse). Anyway, this thing seems sturdy to me, and I think because it's made for a dog, it also has a bit more height to make it easier for my big cat to adjust. It was also easy to put together, literally five minutes.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Makes me nervous
