This Chulux is brewed at 171 degrees Fahrenheit. My old Mr Coffee that he replaced was brewed at 181 degrees Fahrenheit. My old fashioned Presto percolator brews at 191 degrees Fahrenheit. High quality, expensive scaa machines brew between 195 and 205 degrees Fahrenheit. The taste of the coffee was terrible no matter what I tried due to the low brewing temperature so the coffee beans were not extracted properly. I had to microwave the mug for 30 seconds to get it hot enough to drink. waste of money. It's in the trash. I couldn't return because. I bought it as an extra car for the company and didn't open it right away. Guilty. live and learn
