Review on πŸ”§ 80x50mm Precision Hardened Machinist Engineer by Nathan Ortiz

Revainrating 3 out of 5

There was a ridge on the square.

When someone buys a square, they expect the legs to be straight and flat. There was a burr on my square. Thought of sending it back. Finally I scraped off the burr with a piece of steel. For ten bucks it wasn't worth the hassle and expense to get it back. It is possible that the one you bought has no burrs. Revane keeps inviting me to review my purchases. When I think of all the things I bought from Revain last year, I rate the number of purchases I'm satisfied with as 50% or less. I bought a pair of winter boots that were a size 12 and couldn't fit into them. I bought a saxophone that, despite years of clarinet lessons, I can't get a decent sound on. I have a square that I had to work on to make it usable. My advice to you is don't give a fuck about Revane. You can't really see what you're buying, you can't hold it in your hands to judge its quality. You decide what it consists of. You can't "feel" its quality. You don't know exactly if it fits. When the Russians or Chinese hit us with that inevitable EMP blast that wipes out the internet, there has to be some kind of brick-and-mortar distribution system that will provide us with what we need to survive! My advice to you: stop buying Revain. Back to brick and mortar!
