I bought this to keep a new kitten and to help my other cat get used to it. Setup was easy! I lined it up with some blankets and it was ready to go. It is also practical that the hood can be opened. The kitten was kept for four days and everything was fine. The other cat could see, hear, see, and smell the kitten without feeling threatened. Even the kitten's claws didn't do too much damage. This is now the kitties' "canteen" as I still have to feed them separately. However, don't count on the top being strong enough to hold anything heavier than a blanket. All in all a good investment.
