Review on 🐠 Carib Sea Ocean Direct Natural Live Sand for Aquarium, 40 pounds, ACS00940 by Danielle Padilla

I read many other reviews before buying this one and thought I'd give it a try for the price it's sold for. First, (2) of the (3) bags I ordered are almost dry, so I doubt the living substrate is of much use. The most negative effect, however, was how long he had fogged the tank. It took me forever to look a little better. Each bag of substrate comes with a small bag of clarifying agent to add to the water. Two of the three clarifying packets had the consistency of water when opened, one the consistency of syrup - which was the right one, no idea. I understand why others have cleaned the sand before adding it to the aquarium. While you shouldn't wash live sand, the sand fogged up the tank so badly and permanently that in the past I wish I'd done the same - or better yet, ordered larger particles from another retailer. It's been over a week now and the water is still slightly cloudy.
