Many professional plumbing reviews condemn this product. I tend to think differently. I used this valve to replace a not-so-old plumber-installed ballless valve to supply water to my humidifier. I was prepared for some leaks when I installed the Shark unit, it was a perfect seal. Because it's a ball valve, I can now control the flow of water much more precisely than before. I practically had to use pliers to close the previous valve, so there was very little water. Look at the photos and you will see.
