If you love acoustic music and know your way around lamps, you will be more than satisfied with this gem. I mainly listen to jazz, blues, folk, classic rock and classical music. I've never heard anything better. Solid state (transistors) just don't work for me. This is an integrated amplifier with three analogue outputs, so you can easily connect a CD player or cassette deck. Amplifier I have tried the amplifier with Elac Debut 6.0 and 6.2, RA Reference 4a and Infinity Prius 363 speakers with excellent results. [The Reference 4a and Prius 363 modules have been discontinued but are still available.] The Prius 363 gives me everything I want. (Of course, if I could (would?) afford really expensive speakers it might sound even better, but I'm happy with what it is.) This is NOT an amp for those who are used to just having it all - and turn off . with a switch. You have to be careful with tubes. Read the instructions and you'll be fine. You can have beauty on a budget. PS Don't let the Force fool you. I never turn the amp on past 11 or 12 o'clock on the dial. The 300B lamp is all I've heard of.
