The brackets that come with the lights are designed for about 7/8 inch. I made the mount myself. The first set I bought for the front, the lights went out after a few hours. And the brightness on them was bad. The second kit I bought for the tail was supposed to be RED and they just have a darker amber. No red. Even those marked red in the description are just dark amber. So I put the darker ambers to the front and now they seem to be working great. All in all I like the style. Be prepared to ask them for a swap and the wiring is straightforward.
