I am very happy with it! It fits perfectly and snaps in easily. It doesn't affect my laptop's functionality: there are still vents on the bottom to keep it from overheating, the laptop still closes fully, the camera is still clear, it's not bulky, heavy, or obtrusive. I got it because I wanted to decorate the back of my laptop with pictures and stickers, but when I meet with clients my laptop needs to look neat and professional. So I stick my photos and stickers (with the back side so I don't actually stick them) between the laptop and the case. The art is protected and stays in place because it fits snugly so it stays in place and when I need to meet with clients I just take the sleeve off and everything slides off to keep the laptop looking neat in meetings. I have white/transparent color. Although somewhat "matte", it's still sharp enough to see images clearly. I haven't dropped my laptop while using it, but I don't think it would be very good protection against real falls. This can soften the fall somewhat; It's a hard plastic, so I think it's likely to rip if you say you drop it on the pavement while walking, and that prevents dents or scratches, but I don't think it has enough padding to actually prevent damage to the parachute.
