Combined with the AXA QC tool holder, this set is a real insider tip. This is a definite improvement over 1/4" HSS bits held in a lantern holder. The plates must be pressed down firmly before use, but the plates themselves are usable. The boring bar has flat surfaces for use in a traditional holder, eliminating the need for a dedicated boring bar holder.

They are not 1/2" but 12mm and should be sold as such. Good otherwise, but annoying when switching from other tools, they are almost 0.030 inches lower. First, I like how it works. This is a chip breaking on metals that CNMG and WNMG had problems with. It was just long curls, and those are real chips. 4 came, the drill rod surprised me with a negative rake. The rest have a neutral edge. 2 out of 4 had the carbide not seated evenly. I contacted the seller and he said he would send me 2 new ones if I provided the address. But I decided to try to fix the holders. The screw did not match the carbide.
