Review on Eufy Floodlight Brightness Weatherproof Compatible by Jim Bethea

Works well depending on where you place it.

This spotlight camera may or may not work depending on where you place it. It didn't work for me. Installing a spotlight seems easy, but I just hired a professional to do it because I don't want to mess up the wiring around the house. The only problem is that for some reason the camera grip turned out to be very tight that it takes a lot of strength to turn it. I may need to use a vise if I want to adjust the camera. For motion detection, this block needs improvement. As for cameras, the AI is pretty decent and capable of detecting human movement. I don't know why Eufy decided to build a separate motion sensor for the light that only works with simple movements (like normal spotlights do) so the light works almost continuously for me as I live next to a park, in which the trees sway. . Even on the lowest motion settings, I feel like the lights are turning on and off without a break. My old headlights had better motion sensors. There is no way to only have the motion sensors on at certain times of the day. The strict rule is "When it's dark, I'll do my thing". The camera quality is excellent. I had Arlo 1080p at the time and at 2K Eufy resolution I can definitely tell the difference. I added some day and night shots. Overall I think it's a good spotlight camera as long as you don't put it near bushes or trees that might trigger the light sensors. Hopefully there's an update where the light is only on when shooting, but for me it's just an expensive 2K camera for now.

Pros
  • Smart Siren: A sharp warning for any intruder. A loud 100dB alarm can deter unwanted visitors.
Cons
  • Out of fashion
