I was looking for smaller front speakers to replace my rather large Klipsch front speakers. First I tried Polk S10s. I understand they were meant for rear speakers but some reviews said they would fit front speakers with a powered subwoofer. I have a woofer so I gave it a try because of the very small footprint. In terms of the front, the S10s lagged far behind my larger Klipsch. Then I switched to S15s. For me they hit the golden mean with the fronts. They're smaller than the ones I've had before but sound a lot better than the S10. Music and movies sound very good with these speakers. My previous speakers were slightly larger than the S20, so the S15 is noticeably smaller and much more comfortable for my wife. I don't think I had to sacrifice sound quality with the S15 by going much smaller. For the money I think these are fantastic speakers. I paired mine with a thin Polk S35 center speaker and couldn't be happier. My rear speakers are also Polk TL 1s, which take up very little space but work well as surround back. imo The S15's are affordable and sound fantastic for music and movies. I highly recommend them.
