Encouraged. I have a 2002 Corvette C5 and this is the least intrusive mount on the market that I have been able to find. I applied the 3M tape according to the instructions and even waited 3 days before putting my iPhone 7 in the holder. After less than an hour of riding (2 rides of 20 minutes each), the mount detached from the weight of the phone. I don't know if it was because he didn't have a perfectly flat surface to climb on or not, but he didn't hold on. I am sending it back and the search for another model continues. One more note. The angle of the holder is not adjustable. A nice improvement would be a hinge mount that lets you adjust it for highlights and angles.
