This towel rail is very beautiful, durable and comes with a spring-loaded clip to prevent towels from unwinding. It has a durable and slightly heavy ceramic base with rubber pads underneath to prevent the table top from slipping or being damaged. The wire clamp is spring loaded and folds out horizontally to allow the reel to rotate freely. The holder comes assembled, but the top must be removed to install or replace the towel roll. It's very intuitive, but it also has very good instructions that I wish there were more. The end of the towel roll should be on the left hand towel (as shown in the instructions, not in my picture) so it doesn't unscrew the top when you remove the towel. The post goes through the base and is held in place at the bottom by a large plastic nut that is easy to tighten with your fingers. It seems very durable, but we have a bad attitude towards everyday things.
