Review on πŸ‘• Carhartt Workwear X Large Pocket Henley Shirt by Juan Lockwood

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Carhartt quality no longer exists, looks like

I have been buying Carhartt for almost 20 years and in the last 5 years the quality and consistency have greatly decreased. The material is thin, even those labeled 100% cotton appear to be at least 40% polyester. My allergic reaction seems to confirm this after testing a sample of the shirt after washing. I have 15 year old shirts that I wear weekly but they are still thicker than these. The sizes are out. At best, the current "loose fit" is a "thin fit" compared to the old "initial fit." Carhartt claims that the current "Loose Fit" is the same as the old "Original Fit" and that the only change was just the name, which is probably a lie. I tested this one out of 10-12 shirts in different colors in two different styles. week they were all smaller than the old shirts. The difference is not enough if the increase in size compensates for the change; and given the low level of accuracy of their tags lately, the resemblance to something that was actually a different size, regardless of its tag, is pretty slim. The fit is terrible now. Can't raise my arms more than 30-40 degrees in any direction without the whole shit pulling up and balling up. In fact, raising your arms overhead to work would be a joke as this thing gathers around your chest and armpits and then stays there until hand pulled. break over the hem. If these new ones were actually wearable I'd be shocked if they lasted more than a few months. Charhart, why did you do that? Now I need to find a work shirt from another brand that at least fits and has some level of consistency.
