Let me see if I can clear up the confusion about whether this is safe for use in the microwave. I was very concerned after reading the reviews as I thought this was for the microwave leftovers. When the pots arrived I checked the packaging and seemed to find the confusion. The microwave is clearly marked with safety symbols on the packaging. Instructions on back contain warnings to avoid extreme temperatures, so do not use on stovetop, toaster, grill, alcohol burner, microwave with PREP or microwave to HOLD OR HOLD POPCORN BAGS. (see images) The browning feature and popcorn bags can cause hot spots that make popcorn unsafe. For normal reheating in the microwave, this seems perfectly safe. I am very happy with this purchase. This is an amazing price for TWO lidded plates. I like the wide, flat design of the cookware as it allows food to cool down faster for storage and reheat faster later. I will probably order a second set to replace my 30 year old casserole dishes that are chipped and cracked. over the years.
