Review on 🚲 Superteam 700c Clincher Carbon Wheelset: 38/50/60/88mm, 23mm Wide, UD Matte Finish by Jesse Stewart

100 miles - Very impressed so far (50mm)

Update - I've ridden them about 1500 miles so far they have been fast, durable and a great wheelset. There are signs of the front end being a little off so I'll tune them up soon, but in my experience no wheel stays completely right after 1500 miles of abuse, potholes, etc. Would definitely buy it again. Have driven them 100 miles and so far they are very impressive for the price. I will post a long term review of updates as I earn miles. They arrived well packaged and were really out of the box. Installation was pretty easy and the only problem I had was getting the pads into my old calipers, but after I cut off the excess they fit fine. I put Bontrager R3 tires on them and they were a lot easier to mount on rims than my Conti 4000s that I struggled with previously on my old wheels. I could almost do it by hand. They are noticeably lighter than my Shimano R501 C30 clincher tires and this means the bike accelerates faster and is easier to handle in corners. They also feel softer on the road. My first road resulted in me losing over a minute of my best time on the grass on the constant climb I do. I did it with the same power as before, so the only conclusion I have is that the lighter and more aerodynamic wheels made a difference. I tried again another day with the same results. It definitely feels quicker once I get past 270/280w and hit 300 on the climbs, and on flat ground I can sustain 20+ mph a bit easier. The braking performance also surprised me as it is actually better than what I had with my previous non-carbon wheels. I checked the brakes downhill for about 5 minutes, stopping to see if there was any heat build-up and the brake track was stone cold. After the first two rides they remain faithful and I am very impressed with the quality for the price.
