Review on ๐Ÿฅ Set of 6 Multi-Color Gamecraft 9" Plastic Flying Discs by George Walker

Revainrating 3 out of 5

UPDATED: Discs fly well but are no longer recommended for playing with dogs.

UPDATE: As other reviewers have pointed out, the company began using a different, less durable plastic sometime in the last year, which resulted in the discs becoming very brittle. I no longer recommend these discs for playing with a dog. I've put off changing my review in hopes they'd go back to the original material, but no luck here. The most important thing for me was the recent price reduction. This tells me that they realize this is now a poor quality product and would rather change the price tag than solve a material issue. To make a long story short, I've changed my rating from 5 stars to 3. Still good flying little discs, just don't expect them to take dog teeth or hard hits. My original review is complete below for posterity. *** They are great for playing with dogs. I have purchased several of these discs and would highly recommend them for the following reasons: 1. They are made of durable plastic that will withstand repeated bites (quite well) if the dog catches the disc. To be clear, the bites still leave dents and small scratches every time, but as long as the dog brings it back for the next litter instead of just sitting and chewing on it, they hold up surprisingly well for a cheap disposable disc. Most importantly, the disc won't break after the first catch.2. They fly straight, which is important if your dog likes catching them in the air. Even after the disk is covered in bite marks, they fly surprisingly straight or well enough to stay aloft long enough for a dog to catch. Usually the disc has to be thrown away because the bite marks are starting to hurt your hands, not because it's too deformed to fly. For the record, my dog is a 35-pound beagle mix, so their bites probably aren't as damaging as larger dogs. . Ultimately, however, these discs last longer and perform better than others I've tried over the years.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
