I'm tired of the microphone stand breaking at concerts. 3 in a year I gave in and bought what I thought was the best Revain had to offer. I arrived quickly packed in a Revain box. Inside the box was the original packaging for this stand. This package was torn open and appeared to have been opened and returned. There is no packaging in the box. stand parts only. No plastic to scratch. Normally, at a $20 stand, that wouldn't bother me. But that's not it. The stand appears to be in good condition. Seems to be strong. Difficult. The only issue I see possible is that the pin (pictured above) for tightening the clutch on the boom is plastic. Plastic?! For real? At the stand for almost $100?! Good. Trying to save weight or money on such a commonly used part seems like a very bad decision. but I think we'll see. I wish my local record store had more options than the crap they do. Hope this one lasts.
