Damp RId works like a charm. I've been using it for years and it never lets me down, but after finishing this pack I'll be going back to unscented. This fragrance does not smell like vanilla or lavender. Smells like a cheap bag. The smell was overpowering when I first opened the package, but once it's in the container behind closed doors it's not that strong and I only smell it for a minute when I take something out of the cupboard. Other than that, Damp RId is a great product and does the job perfectly. One more thing, I think it would be better to get pre-measured bags which cost a bit more but are the perfect fit for filling the jars.
