I used this to make a white noise machine for my daughter. This was my first foray into a hardware project. I soldered the connector to the Pi Zero, soldered the leads to this cap, and then attached the cap. After several hours of troubleshooting due to the lack of sound (I was sure I had screwed up the soldering somewhere), I realized that I just hadn't pushed the head cover far enough. Once I pushed it all the way down (the pins on the Pi should touch the hood) it worked great. It's such a cool little board and I'm looking forward to this new hobby. I'll probably buy a few more and make smart speakers.
