Love this lightweight jacket! No, it doesn't have rear protection, but you can buy one separately. worth your money. I spilled on a long trip and the only damage was a hole under my right armpit. The sleeves had a bit of scuffing from the slide but the jacket protected me through and through. It's not very expensive, but it does the job you need. And it suited me. I'm a tall girl, 5ft 8in / 287lbs. I need to buy some men's riding gear that protection doesn't always hit me where it should, but this jacket did the trick. I will definitely buy another one to replace it. the ones I had. It's a good buy if you don't mind buying the rear guard separately. I'll send photos later.
