I bought an Android Auto car system, but I wanted to be able to quickly connect and disconnect it to switch from car to desktop. I bought these Bullet Chimps and they did a great job. I have read other product reviews that some of them are flimsy and not very good quality so I went for these and they are durable. The connection in the car is perfect - the stereo doesn't make any noise when I drive down the road, so the insulation is solid. I've removed these connectors many times to install the car stereo for firmware updates and experimentation and they're still solid. Crimp 101 - Strip the wire, insert the connector into the crimping tool, then twist the wire and press down. Crimping 102 - GET THE RIGHT TOOLS. These connectors and most importantly a good crimping tool (ex: IRWIN VISE-GRIP Forged Crimper, 10", 2078310. I have used these crimp tool kits which come with very thin crimping tools. These thin crimping tools just aren't the same thicker tool to use ensure your crimp is durable.
